Not that he needs my endorsement, but this post is a plug for Jay Lake’s latest collection The Sky That Wraps from Subterranean Press. The link in the title points you to the hardbound, signed, numbered edition, and it is a thing of beauty (truly, William Schafer and Subterranean have outdone themselves)!
Jay baffles my comprehension with the poignancy of his storytelling, again and again. What more can I say. I’m privileged that I get to call this author my friend. What I always like about his collections is the opportunity to see him craft a story, one after another, to soak up the way he does it in a way that reading one of his novels doesn’t afford. Now if I could just steal his talent…
This is a big, fat book of win. Readers and writers alike will enjoy it, although not necessarily for the same reasons. Thanks, Jay.
