Hello, and welcome. You’re listening to DaHjaj Hol, your daily dose of Klingon language. I’m your host, Lawrence Schoen.
This is the last Noun Day of the month. Today’s noun is ghogh. GH, O, GH. ghogh means voice. It’s an easy enough word to make up sentences for:
muSeymoH banglI’ ghogh
your beloved’s voice excites me
rut HoHlaH SuvwI’ ghogh
sometimes a warrior’s voice can kill
vavlI’ ghogh vIqawDI’ jIQeHchoH
when I remember your father’s voice, I become angry
Maybe you haven’t really committed yourself to the language yet. You could just be dabbling. But trust me when I tell you, you’re fooling yourself if you think so. You wouldn’t be here, listening to this now, if at some level you weren’t ready to take on the challenge of Klingon. You might need some help, you might need the occasional nudge, but you’re eager to see what kinds of worlds language will open for you. qo’mey poSmoH Hol.
